cursor-agent CLI
alike. In this version they’re read-only: you watch a Cursor session from
your phone, and you answer it at your computer.
Sessions is part of Nomo Pro, for Cursor as for every other agent. Cursor
sessions also need the latest version of Nomo on your phone.
Set it up
1
Run the installer
On your Mac:One install covers both the desktop app and
cursor-agent. It does three
things:- Clones the plugin to
~/.nomo. - Adds Nomo’s hook entries to
~/.cursor/hooks.json. It merges with whatever is already there and leaves other tools’ entries untouched. - Installs four skills under
~/.cursor/skills/.
2
Restart Cursor — required
3
Pair
In Cursor, type It shows a QR code — scan it with the Nomo app. Where you can’t open a
browser,
/ to pick a skill, and run:/nomo-pair code gives you a short code to type instead. Both
paths are walked through in Pairing.Pairing is shared across agents on one Mac. A computer already paired for
Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode doesn’t need pairing again for Cursor —
installing is enough, and you can skip this step.4
Show the Cursor tab
In the app, open the computer. Cursor sessions sit under a Cursor tab
in its session drawer. The drawer shows up to three agent tabs. If Cursor isn’t one of them, tap
the + button (Choose agents) and turn it on.
Commands
Four skills, with no prefix. Type/ in Cursor to pick one:
There’s no approvals command for Cursor — there are no remote approvals to
pause. The rest of the detail is in Commands.
What you see
- A session appears when you send your first prompt in a chat — not when the chat is merely opened.
- It shows as working while the agent runs, and as done when the turn finishes.
- It’s removed when the chat, the window or the CLI closes.
- The title is the name Cursor gives the chat — the one on its chat tab and in its history. It starts as your first prompt and switches to Cursor’s name during the turn, or shortly after it ends.
- The model badge shows the model Cursor reports.
- The Dynamic Island works as it does for the other agents, for the sessions you choose to show there.
What this version doesn’t do
- No remote approvals. You can’t Allow or Deny Cursor’s Run / Skip prompts from your phone, and your phone doesn’t show when Cursor is waiting on you. Cursor doesn’t expose that to plugins.
- No questions or plan approvals. Cursor’s questions and plan approvals aren’t shown, and can’t be answered from the phone.
- No “Open on Mac”. The button isn’t available on Cursor sessions.
- No Interrupt. The Interrupt button isn’t available on Cursor sessions either.
- No cloud agents. Cursor’s cloud and background agents aren’t shown — only agents running on your Mac.
- The title can stay your first prompt. If Cursor’s name for the chat can’t
be read, the first prompt stays — Nomo keeps checking for about two minutes
after the turn ends. Chats run with the
cursor-agentCLI keep the first-prompt title. Only the chat name is read from Cursor’s local database; nothing else from it is sent. - A crash can leave a session behind. If Cursor is force-quit or crashes, a session can linger as working until it times out — about 30 minutes — rather than ending immediately.
Updating
Run the same command again, then restart Cursor:Uninstalling
/nomo-unpair before you uninstall.
If something isn’t showing up, the Cursor entries in
Troubleshooting are the place to start.
